Dog Handler Job Description

Hours: Varies, applicants need a flexible schedule. Full and part time available. Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Salary: Starts at $8.00 to $10.00 an hour depending on experience, availability, and employment status (full or part time)

Description:

The work itself has 3 components:

1. Dog supervision "
This includes supervising and managing to a harmonious play group. It is fun if you are interested in dogs and enjoy being with them. It is also a lot of clean up. (We have over 100 dogs a day usually ;-). You have to be pretty mentally and physically active so it is taxing at the beginning but its like getting in shape. Once you do it becomes automatic and isn’t exhausting.

2. Customer service "
It is important to like people because there is lots of customer interaction in person and on the phone.

3. Cleaning "
Vacuuming, power scrubbing, mopping, dusting etc.

It’s the kind of job where you get out of it what you put into it. You can learn a ton and have a lot of fun and a lot of job satisfaction if the work is up your alley. Our employees have gone on to be trainers vet techs, vet students etc.
